Joy Watson was a speaker at the event, a member of the lived experience steering group and was also there in her capacity as a roving reporter from Talking About My Generation. She spoke with top figures in the area and those who have had a diagnosis, to find out what life is like in Greater Manchester and what can be improved.

Suggestions put forward in the video for a better Greater Manchester included the rental of electric wheelchairs in cities, better dementia training for all transport staff and a more streamlined diagnosis process, with better follow-up support.
