Law for Dementia Carers (L4DC) is a two-year project looking at legal advice and human rights issues that have affected you in your role as a carer.
What legal information has been most important to know about, when was the information most needed, where did you get the information from, and whether there was any information that you didn’t have but would have wanted if you had known about it sooner?
There are many gaps in care and support for carers of people with dementia including access to wider social welfare and legal support which are taking a toll on families’ health and finances. The focus of L4DC is to provide legal, including human rights, information for carers of people with dementia by developing training modules that carers can access.
