Social Sense and Gold Key Media are teaming up to bring some much-needed cheer to carers and residents across Greater Manchester in the form of hundreds of complimentary lifestyle magazines.
The magazines – spanning a range of interests and popular titles – are the first of a number of free exclusives being delivered through the newly launched Greater Moments app – a platform designed to improve life experiences for those with Dementia, their Carers and family members. Greater Moments is a trailblazing innovation project that we’ve developed in partnership with Social Sense. Operating in real-time the data will be used to both personalise care and inform our future work.
Despite much of the real world being ‘locked down’ the app enables the continued connection of people through a series of virtual group activities, of which there are currently more than 80 listed and free to attend. The effects on wellbeing and quality of life are measured and all local services are evaluated in the form of a ratings system, enabling top performing ones to be recognised and those needing support to be assisted. Over the coming months it is hoped that real world activities such as choir and craft groups will return, however for now the focus is on delivery of a different kind.
