So Many Beauties Festival: A Dementia Friendly Music Experience

Dementia United is proud to be part of the upcoming So Many Beauties Festival, a special event celebrating the power of music in fostering connection, creativity, and well-being for people living with dementia.

This unique, dementia-friendly festival will bring together people of all ages and backgrounds to enjoy and participate in a variety of musical and artistic experiences. Click here for a full festival programme

Festival Highlights:

  • Live Performances: Enjoy brand-new music alongside familiar songs and tunes across various genres.
  • Workshops: Participate in singing, music-making, and dance energizer workshops, all designed to be inclusive and accessible to everyone, regardless of musical experience.
  • Arts Activities: Explore creative arts activities, including screen printing festival tote bags and flower crown making.
  • Support and Advice: Connect with organisations and experts for advice and support on dementia care and brain health.

Dementia United’s Involvement

As part of our commitment to supporting people living with dementia and their families, Dementia United will host an exhibitor stand at the festival’s Healthy Brain Space on the Second Floor Circle Foyer at Bridgewater Hall. This area will feature various organizations dedicated to dementia care and research, including Dementia UK, Alzheimer’s Society, and others.

At our stand, visitors can:

  • Learn more about our initiatives and programs designed to improve the lives of those living with dementia.
  • Engage with our team to discuss how we can support you and your loved ones.
  • Explore resources and tools aimed at enhancing dementia care in Greater Manchester.

Healthy Brain Space activities

The Healthy Brain Space will also offer a range of interactive and educational activities, such as:

  • Screen Printing with Create: Design your festival tote bag.
  • Sound Installation by LGBTQ+ Foundation: Immerse yourself in unique auditory experiences.
  • Dancing with Dementia Photo Booth: Capture joyful memories in a fun and lively setting.
  • Scavenger Hunt & Round Table Discussions: Participate in brain health activities curated by researchers from Manchester University.

This event is an excellent opportunity to connect with the dementia community, enjoy uplifting music, and gain valuable insights into dementia care and brain health.

This is a free event but tickets must be booked in advance. A limited number of public tickets are still available. Tickets can be booked via the Bridgewater Hall Box Office website So Many Beauties Dementia Friendly Music Festival | The Bridgewater Hall (bridgewater-hall.co.uk) or by calling 0161 907 9000. There are two ticket options:

  • Full day tickets
  • Afternoon only tickets (Entrance from 3:00 PM)
