With face-to-face services suspended throughout the pandemic, Bolton Dementia Support adapted their support offering
During Dementia Action Week we’re sharing stories from across Greater Manchester around raising awareness, diagnosing well, living well and supporting well.
Bolton Dementia Support wanted to continue to support well and offered a range of activities including using Zoom. From musical sessions to storytelling activities, sensory farm groups to nature sessions – Bolton Dementia Support has linked with agencies across the UK to provide fun, interactive activities, keeping those living with dementia and their carers connected.
Check out their video which they put together to highlight the success of their Zoom activities over the past 12 months.
Bolton Dementia Support is run by professionally trained staff, trained volunteers and present & former carers who all fully understand how dementia affects the person concerned and the impact it has on the rest of the family.
They have a range of activities, events and resources available to support people living with dementia and those who care for them.
