A celebration in song

Life across the globe has changed for everyone this past year. But, with the sun in the sky and a song in our hearts, the Atlantic Fellows for Equity in Brain Health at the Global Brain Health Institute were proud to join with Dementia United and Together Dementia Support to celebrate the positive impact music, movement, and art play in the lives of people living with dementia.

As a global organisation dedicated to improving brain health and equity, we brought together professionals from a range of backgrounds and those living with dementia to celebrate the positive impact we can have when we work together.

The event began with a short presentation on the Global Brain Health Institute , creativity, dementia, and co-production before showcasing the Atlantic Fellow’s band the Grey Matter’s latest track. The track has been co-created with people across the globe living with and working in the field of dementia. We hope to share the message that we are more than a diagnosis and that together we can support one another, tackle stigma and importantly enjoy ourselves.
